1. Welcome to LoopaLoop
This guide takes you step by step through using LoopaLoop.app, the platform for exchanging used items with LoopaPoints.
What you can do on LoopaLoop
- List items you no longer use
- Offer services or small tasks in exchange for points
- Search for items you need in your area
- Chat with other users to organize exchanges
- Earn LoopaPoints for future purchases or to convert them into discounts at partner businesses in your city
- Build your reputation with verified reviews
First login: what to do
After registration, check your email inbox and click on the confirmation link. You won't be able to list items without verification.
Before listing, browse the ads to understand how listings are structured and what LoopaPoint prices are common in your area.
2. The Ledger
The Ledger is the control center for your account. You can find it by clicking on the dedicated menu item.
Main sections

3. How to Publish an Item
Publishing an item is simple. Here is the complete procedure:
Step 1: Click on "Create Listing"
From the My Listings section in The Ledger, click the "Create Listing" button.
Step 2: Upload photos
You can upload up to 5 photos. Tips: use natural light, show the item from multiple angles, and include photos of any defects.
The first photo will be the cover photo.
Step 3: Fill in the details
- Title: Clear and specific (e.g., "Racing Bike Size M")
- Description: Condition, dimensions, defects, and history of the item
- Category: Choose the most appropriate category
- City: Indicate the city for local searches
- LoopaPoints Value: How much you want for the exchange
Step 4: Publish!
Check everything and click "Publish". Your ad will be immediately visible in your city and surrounding areas.
3.1 New: LoopaBox
The LoopaBox is a special listing format that allows you to sell multiple items together in a themed "box" at a fixed LoopaPoints price.
How it works:
- Clear out clutter fast: You don't have to photograph every single object. Create a bundle (books, baby clothes, tech, hobby).
- Fixed price: Set a LoopaPoints value for the entire box.
- Photo: The cover photo is fixed (indicates that it is a LoopaBox). You must add at least 3 photos showing the actual contents.
Requirements and Limits:
- ⭐ Reputation: You must have a minimum average of 3 stars to be able to publish a LoopaBox.
- 📊 Plan Limits:
- Free Users: maximum 1 active LoopaBox
- Bronze Users: maximum 3 active LoopaBox
- Other plans: unlimited
4. How to Search for Items
Searching on LoopaLoop is easy and fast. Here's how to find what you need:
Basic search
Use the search bar at the top. Type keywords like "sofa", "bike", "books" and press Enter.
Filters
- Category: Filter by type of item (Furniture, Electronics, Clothing, etc.)
- City: Find items near you
Tips for an effective search
- Try different synonyms ("sofa" vs "couch")
- Expand your search to nearby cities
- Check often: new items every day!
5. How to Exchange
Found something you like? Now organize the exchange!
Make a proposal
Click on "Propose Exchange" in the listing. You can:
- Offer your items in exchange
- Propose LoopaPoints
- Combine an item + points
Chat with the owner
Once the proposal is accepted, you can chat to:
- Agree on a meeting place
- Fix a date and time
- Ask for details about the item
Confirm the exchange
When you meet:
- Check the item before accepting
- Confirm the exchange in the app
- Leave a review for the other user
6. Your Wallet
The Wallet is where you manage your LoopaPoints.
How LoopaPoints work
- When you publish an item and it is exchanged, you earn points
- When you receive an item, you spend points
- LoopaPoints expire when your subscription is not renewed
Movement history
You can view all your LoopaPoints transactions over time.
Commissions
LoopaLoop charges a commission on every transaction:
- Exchange with points balance: 5%
- Sale with only points: 10%
- No commission on pure item/item barter
7. Reputation System
Reviews build community trust.
How it works
- After each exchange, both can leave a review
- Rating from 1 to 5 stars + comment
- The average of your reviews is your "reputation score"
Reputation levels
- New: 0-10 reviews
- Reliable: 11-50 reviews, average >4.0
- Expert: 51-200 reviews, average >4.5
- Master: 200+ reviews, average >4.8
8. Your Profile
You can manage your account information directly from the profile icon in the top right menu.
What you can modify
- First and Last Name: The name that other users will see
- City: Used to show your ads in local searches
- Description: Introduce yourself to the community
Notifications
- Find your notifications on the Notifications page accessible from the top menu
- Receive alerts for new proposals, messages, and transaction updates
9. Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to join?
Basic membership is free! You can publish up to 5 items. For advanced features, check out our paid plans.
Do LoopaPoints expire?
LoopaPoints expire 12 months after the last subscription renewal or top-up. Make sure to use them before they expire!
Can I cancel an exchange?
Yes, you can cancel an offer or exchange at any time, even after initial confirmation, without any LoopaPoint penalty.
What happens if the item doesn't match the description?
Open a dispute within 48h. Our team will analyze the case and may refund your LoopaPoints.
Can I use LoopaLoop from my mobile phone?
Yes! LoopaLoop is fully responsive. Access from a mobile browser for a great experience.
How does user verification work?
All users verify their identity via email. Once verified, they receive a badge whose color changes based on the subscription plan: gray (Free), brown (Bronze), silver (Silver), gold (Gold), purple (Platinum), dark green (Professional).
Can I sell for money as well as barter?
NO - It is strictly forbidden. LoopaLoop is a barter platform. No type of cash transaction is allowed.
